I Know The Colour Of Your Underwear
And certificates can be forged so easily (especially these days) that I never checked those either.

I interviewed her and was very impressed, but because I had a few others to see, told her I'd contact her in a day or two.

Curiously, she'd put her Facebook details on her CV (one of her hobbies). ERROR!

So I casually checked it out and learnt that she regularly took days off 'sick' so she could go to the beach. She regularly got so drunk she couldn't remember what she'd done the night before and would 'struggle' to get through her work day. She told one of her friends that she was hoping to get this new job (with me) and that she'd inflated her salary so I'd offer more and that this new job would 'be okay until I move overseas in December'.

Silly girl.

It amazes me how much information people are prepared to put in the public domain – really sensitive and personal stuff. Things that will come back to haunt you and make you cringe for the rest of your life.

There are an estimated 600 million people who have posted personal online profiles, most of them happily sharing information (which they wouldn't normally give to a stranger) with millions of others around the world.

They should remember that as soon as you hit the 'share' button you lose complete control of that information – forever. It cannot be undone or recalled.

As one commentator put it, 'Google knows more about you than your mother does'.
