| BP Still No 1 Thanks To Customers-BP Was Named SA’s Top Petroleum Brand For 10th Consecutive Year |

BP was voted SA's top petroleum brand again for the 10th consecutive year in the annual Sunday Times Top Brands survey. Tristao Abro, BPSA's Brand and Insights Manager says they are humbled by the result and are overwhelmed by the public's continued support. "Surveys like this which are done independently, give unsolicited consumer feedback which is greatly valued", he says. The findings come from the independent research house, TNS Research Surveys commissioned annually by the top Sunday newspaper in the country as part of their Top Brands survey. It highlighted the brands which stood out in their categories this year, a landmark year for iconic brands and brand building which made SA proud. TNS polled 3 500 consumers in South Africa, in both metro and non-metro areas of the country to compile the results. Abro attributes the brand's ongoing success to its superior product offering, strong and deep-rooted heritage in SA and ongoing high service delivery at its forecourts. "This tells us that customers are happy with our formula of good food, great service and high quality fuels. The findings further entrench BP's standing in the fuels marketplace, which is a real win for us", says Abro. The study used the same process as last year whereby three dimensions were accounted for, leveraging the concept of relative advantage in terms of brand familiarity, user brand experience/non-user brand perception and brand presence/size. |
