Time Is Running Out, Book Now For The Brands & Branding For Good Conference
With less than a month until Brands & Branding for Good, South Africa's first conference to include a focus on sustainable branding, you risk missing out on the leading-edge presentations and thought-provoking discussions that will be delivered and facilitated by branding and sustainability gurus from France, the United States, the United Kingdom and South Africa.

Brands & Branding for Good (www.brandsandbrandingconference.co.za) takes place on 20th/21st October at the Gallagher Convention Centre in Midrand. It is endorsed by the Marketing Association of Southern Africa and The Chief Marketing Officers Council, and is co-sponsored by Pick ‘n Pay, OgilvyEarth, HLKM and Added Value. Media partners include Biz-Community and Mail & Guardian.

The conference will demonstrate that, in today's world, sustainability and business success are not mutually exclusive goals, but that they go hand in hand.

"Brands & Branding for Good goes beyond ‘green'," says organiser Ken Preston, "to explore the very real and vital issue of sustainability as more and more consumers declare their intention to do business with socially and environmentally committed businesses, and as political and business leaders are embracing the fact that sustainability is the key difference between prosperity and decline in our emerging new world order.

"In addition to mainstream consumer acceptance, support for sustainability is prominent in financial stimulus packages for new wealth creation. In this new age, sustainability is an economic issue, opportunity and imperative, providing opportunities for brand reinvigoration and reinvention."

According to Preston, there should be no doubt amongst South Africa's marketing and branding fraternity that responsible brands are more attractive to consumers, and are able to build more comfortable relationships with regulators, local communities, investors and the media.

"Brands & Branding for Good is the only local conference to date to seek to provide brand owners and their agencies with the opportunity to understand and appreciate the prevailing consumer shift and how to align their brands with sustainable values," he said.

The conference boasts an impressive line-up of speakers, including:
• Seth Farbman - Worldwide Managing Director, Ogilvy & Mather New York and President of OgilvyEarth
