Runner's World Win's Gold Medal At ADmag Awards

Runner's World won a gold medal at the annual Advantage AdMag Awards that took place in Johannesburg this week. The magazine was awarded for excellence in publishing in the sports magazine category. Paul Kaye, publisher of Runner's World accepted the award.

Initiated by John Farquhar, the Awards recognise outstanding and innovative consumer publishing. The awards are exclusive to ABC certified consumer publications. Judging was done by a select panel of independent judging experts, with awards issued only to those magazines deemed worthy of accolade.

Paul Kaye, publisher of Runner's World comments, "It's a very proud moment for me and I want to congratulate Mike Finch and his team for their exceptional work on the brand. Runner's World in South Africa was the first international edition, launched in 1993. Runner's World is so much more than a magazine - it's a brand that delivers on its mandate via various platforms, the magazine being one of them. The brand's strength is due to knowing our market and giving them what we know they want, not what we think they need."

The magazine doesn't discriminate - it is aimed at all levels of runners, reaching both the professional as well as the social running community. It strives to make running an accessible enjoyable sport and pastime to all. The Runner's World team is therefore dedicated to producing quality content, exceptional visuals and in-depth features that inspire and motivate every type of runner.
