Job Description

This in-house digital performance marketing manager position is with a high-net-worth financial institution and requires someone who is passionate about digital marketing. Someone who wants an exciting challenge to structure and take their digital marketing to the next level, broaden their audience reach and drive deeper funnel conversion to multiple niche audiences.

Your main responsibility is growing and overseeing their performance marketing activities on all their digital and social channels to help deliver leads that convert into new clients. They are counting on you to be data-driven, flexible, and agile within a small and focused marketing team. They are looking for greatness in creativity and execution as well.

The full-time position would ideally be based in the Johannesburg office and would report into the head of marketing.

Skills and experience

  • A brand, marketing or digital marketing education
  • At least 5 years of experience in digital media
  • Experience in drafting performance reports and presenting findings, insights and recommendations
  • Demonstrated understanding and use of Google Ads, programmatic and social media marketing platforms like LinkedIn, Twitter, YouTube, Facebook, etc.
  • Experienced in content production and creation
  • Experienced in managing performance-focused lead-generation campaigns
  • Experienced in digital media planning and buying
  • Experienced in the field of CRO (Conversion rate optimization) and A/B testing
  • Good working knowledge of lead generation funnels
  • Proficiency in digital marketing and analytics tools such as Google Analytics, Facebook Business Manager, LinkedIn, Salesforce and other
  • Excellent understanding of digital practices such as SEO and PPC
  • Excellent financial and analytic abilities
  • Good writing, editing, communication and people skills
  • Adaptable, versatile, hands-on and the ability to keep up to date with consumer and marketing trends and advancements in technology
