Job Description

A leading Communications Agency is looking for a Senior PR Account Director with excellent media relationships, account management, strategic/tactical planning, team collaboration, and digital/social skills to help support key B2B and Corporate client portfolios.  

Requirements:

  • Previous experience as a PR Account Director at a senior level
  • Strong knowledge within PR and media relations
  • Crisis management is a must
  • Excellent communicator
  • Manage clients and staff
  • Support new business drives as the company scales up
  • Be part of the pitching process
  • Writing is key for this role - develop press material, proof reading and overseeing all content development across multiple channels
  • Hand-on approach and able to account manage
  • Maintain excellent client relationships
  • Develop, implement and execute PR plans
  • Must be a natural publicist and have good media contacts
  • Understand the shift of PR and experience working on integrated campaigns that connect social media, marketing, website, newsletter channels etc
  • Be an influencer for the business and help the business grow
  • Assist the business in exposure by helping with entering of awards
  • Position the business in the media, interviews with new staff
  • Oversee strategy and implementation across accounts

Skill and Experience: 

  • Demonstrable experience of working in key PR and marketing disciplines
  • Minimum of 6 -8 years’ experience in running multi-national accounts and have the ability to work across functional teams
  • Have a good understanding with experience of all new media platforms - digital/social skills
  • Demonstrate an effective understanding of how PR integrates with the agency’s range of disciplines
  • Passion about the industry demonstrated by a genuine interest in and enthusiasm for all aspects of marketing and communications
  • Ability to articulate what makes a good PR campaign or communication initiative
  • Excellent communication skills – both written and verbal
  • PC literate
  • Proven track record in growing PR business
  • Experience of dealing with clients & colleagues at senior/executive level
  • Advanced presentation skills
  • Negotiation and influencing skills
  • Excellent team management experience
  • Commercial acumen and business understanding
