Job Description

Join a fast-paced, collaborative Marketing Agency with a high-volume workload often requiring short turnaround times as a Mid-level Copywriter.

Responsibilities

  • Writing clear, concise ,and grammatically correct copy
  • Write original copy and edit content for a range of corporate marketing and communications materials
  • Review and proofread all copy created in the agency to ensure it is correct and in line with the relevant client brief and objectives to achieve
  • Revise copy based on internal and client feedback/direction
  • You must be able to manage all administration, attend all project meetings/briefings and be able to present work clearly and professionally
  • Liaising with the Traffic manager and Client services teams regarding the progress of work
  • Taking briefs from the Client Service teams submitted through CHASE
  • Meeting Client Service teams to discuss their needs
  • Solicit and assimilate copy feedback, establish priorities and oversee copy and concept-related revisions and implementation
  • You will need to be able to work to tight deadlines and work on more than one brief/project at a time
  • Collaborate with your creative team from concept development to delivery of final product
  • Interpret creative briefs to assist in developing and produce creative concepts through execution on assigned brands
  • Research and understand the client's needs and target audiences through online searches, reviews of existing research, interviews with subject matter experts and in-person meetings
  • Present copy concepts and final deliverables to the internal team and to client representative as needed and participate in client pitches on occasion

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Journalism, English, Communications or related discipline
  • Minimum 4-5 years professional copywriting experience with a solid portfolio of work. Please include a link to your relevant portfolio or examples of your work
  • Exceptional writing and research skills
  • Proofreading experience and familiarity with standard style guides a must
  • Ability to work independently and with a team to meet deadlines
  • Excellent organisational skill and multi-asking ability
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and Adobe Acrobat Pro
  • Social media or content marketing will be advantageous
