Job Description

A large, dynamic international agency is looking for a Senior Copywriter with beauty experience to join their growing team.

As a member of the creative department, you’ll be working with clients to drive brand growth, fame and purpose through unforgettable, beautiful and effective content and digital media campaigns on some of the world’s biggest and best-loved beauty and personal care brands.

As a Senior Copywriter, you will understand of the trends inherent to the beauty industry and consumer. Your skillset will be able to confidently stretch from SEO copywriting to social, digital campaigns and scriptwriting.

As well as crafting compelling, on-brand copy, you will have a strong strategic and conceptual mindset with unlimited storytelling abilities to help create smart, stylish and standout content for the digital landscape.



  • Solid experience in brand copywriting and conceptualising for digital, social and SEO content
  • Experience in writing for the beauty / personal care category and the language and needs inherent to writing for beauty brands
  • A qualification in English language, Advertising Communication or other recognised writing-related courses
  • Experience in managing/mentoring junior team members
  • Experience in crafting and developing a new tone of voice for brands
  • Experience in long- and short-form writing for digital
  • Experience in presenting and communicating confidently, persuasively and clearly to team members and clients
  • Create award-winning work both from yourself and with those with whom you work 
  • Maintain creative excellence with a keen attention to detail and time scales
  • Deliver innovative copy and conceptual storytelling solutions which are on brand and on time
  • Continuously up skill in new, forward-thinking digital and social developments and practices to drive change and creativity
  • Consistently impress internal and external stakeholders with high-quality creative and presentation/pitching skills

Copywriting and conceptual duties

  • Work with Designers / Creative Directors / Head of Copy / Head of Design to produce distinctive creative concepts and copy optimised for digital
  • Create inspiring, strategically-minded messaging to drive the client’s business objectives
  • Interrogate briefs and translate into clear, compelling copy and/or concepts
  • Champion change with forward-thinking creative ideas and consumer insights
  • Manage multiple simultaneous projects while retaining laser focus on each
  • Ensure creative consistency and accuracy across all written output
  • Use data and insights to inform creative
  • Be the guardian of a brand’s tone of voice, flexing across headlines, strap lines and long and short SEO/social copy
  • Foster a positive, collaborative working environment that brings out the best in your team and colleagues
  • Give accurate copy time estimates to client teams
  • Build a strong rapport with clients by consistently showcasing category, consumer and channel knowledge

Management duties

  • Available to mentor and/or manage, support and up skill junior team members to develop their potential
  • Meet utilisation and billable targets – complete timesheets accurately and on time
  • Champion a positive, supportive and solutions orientated attitude
  • Communicate best practices to the wider team
  • Work with Resource Management to manage workload
  • Line management duties – when applicable
