Job Description

A marketing agency in the North that helps large B2B companies grow their revenue in Africa by transforming how they engage buyers, grow customers and enable their marketing and sales teams, is looking for a Senior Client Partner to work across a variety of touch points in the B2B marketing and purchase journey - from brand positioning to engagement programmes and stakeholder experience projects.

The main purpose of the role:

To lead a client portfolio by driving high-level, meaningful client interaction enabling successful service delivery which strategically addresses how to solve business challenges for clients.

To support the Head of Client success by working with a team of individuals to ensure successful engagements between Agency and clients.

To partner with the client to ensure they experience exceptional value and to work with them to get the best value out of Agency to achieve their business objectives.

To drive the commercial success of Agency by contributing positively to managing the P&L of the Agency clients for which the candidate would be responsible.

To ensure the defined profitability of assigned work.

Key responsibilities:

  • Responsible for a Client portfolio of work
  • To be responsible for the Client relationship and any assigned work – working alongside other Client Partners and highly effective Project management individuals
  • Contribute to the strategic direction of Agency as well as encourage and facilitate strategic client engagement
  • To deliver in line with a mentality of client success and to establish this within

Minimum Requirements:

  • An appetite for business and B2B marketing
  • Experience managing teams and large accounts
  • Minimum 8 years’ experience working in an Advertising/ Marketing/environment at a senior level
  • At least 10 years’ having been directly accountable to work with a client, liaise and engage 
  • 3-5 years as a BUD in a big agency
  • A sound knowledge of the relevant structures and processes in the agency
  • Working knowledge of Agile and Scrum methodologies (Sprints etc.)
