Who We’re Looking For:
An experienced, strategic, and hands-on Marketing Manager with a solid FMCG background—particularly in beverages. You bring deep expertise in trade marketing, brand management, digital strategy, and retail execution. You’re a collaborative leader who thrives in a fast-paced environment and understands both formal and informal retail dynamics across South Africa.
Key Responsibilities:

Lead Marketing Strategy: Develop and implement integrated marketing plans aligned with overall business objectives.
-
Drive 360° Campaigns: Plan and execute traditional, digital, and in-store campaigns to build brand equity and drive sales.
-
Own Trade Marketing: Maximise brand visibility in modern and general trade; lead rural activations, promotions, and merchandising initiatives.
-
Digital & CRM Ownership: Manage digital marketing, influencer campaigns, CRM initiatives, and optimise e-commerce visibility.
-
Budget & Performance Management: Handle marketing budgets, track ROI, and report on campaign effectiveness using performance data.
-
Cross-functional Collaboration: Partner with sales, operations, and agency teams for seamless marketing execution.
-
Consumer Engagement: Lead brand activations, sponsorships, and events to drive awareness and engagement.
What You’ll Need:
-
Experience: 8+ years in FMCG marketing (preferably in beverages, confectionery, or personal care), with a strong track record in trade marketing and retail execution.
-
Retail Expertise: Experience working with key retailers such as Spar, Pick n Pay, Clicks, and Dischem; exposure to stokvels and rural market activations.
-
Digital & CRM Skills: Proven knowledge of SEO/SEM, paid media, influencer marketing, and loyalty/CRM programs.
-
Leadership: Strong cross-functional leadership and agency management skills; able to influence and drive collaboration across teams.
-
Commercial Acumen: Skilled in budgeting, financial planning, and using insights to drive business outcomes.
-
Results-Driven: Demonstrated success in delivering impactful campaigns, growing market share, and driving return on investment.
